Kintla Lake: Purple Mountains' Majesty
Kintla Lake's elegant, curving
a
rc leads to the distant
Boundary Mountains
.
The road from hell takes you to a heavenly lake.

The reward for enduring 22 miles of a bouncing, bone-rattling,
front-end suspension-twisting road that the U.S. Park Service
charitably calls “primitive” is a sparkling gem of a finger lake
with an elegant arc that stretches to the massive Boundary
Mountains.

This remotest of Peace Park Paddles is perhaps the one you'll
hold closest to your heart, long after you've returned to the
confines of civilization and cubicles.
